Using Chessroom

These terms apply to your use of the Chessroom website. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

The game

Chessroom currently offers free games against a computer or a friend on the same device. Computer play, hints, and move evaluation are provided for casual play and practice; they are not guaranteed to find the strongest move.

Responsible use

Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, or interfere with other people’s access.

Saved games

Game progress and preferences may be stored in your browser. They can be lost if you clear site data, change browsers or devices, or if browser storage is unavailable. Chessroom does not currently provide account-based cloud backups.

Website content

The website’s design, text, and code may be protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licences. These terms do not grant ownership of the site or its content.

Availability and changes

Features may change, and the site may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or other reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free play, or permanent retention of browser-saved games.
